:: Supply Chain and Logistic Engineering ::
«Supply Chain and Logistics Engineering»
Lack of coordination and integration in traditional supply and procurement systems results in increased production costs, delivery time, and final price of commodities, ultimately leading to customer dissatisfaction and inequalities in peoples’ access to products they need. In most cases, a significant percentage of production costs occurs due to inconsistencies in the supply chain. Insufficient attention to logistics affairs along the supply chain has led to a significant cost turnover compared to national GDP, saving which will have significant results.
Development of appropriate solutions to solve or reduce such deficiencies and increase competitiveness in global markets calls for harmonized solutions based on scientific principles of supply chain management and applying recent developments in logistics management as the most important subdivision of supply chain management activities.  To this end, it is important to train supply chain and logistics management specialists for employment in organizations and companies.
Taking note of the crucial logistic condition of Iran from geo-political aspects of view, Supply Chain and Logistics Engineering is designed as a major under the master program of industrial engineering.

Definition and Objectives
The Logistics and Supply Chain Engineering is a technical-engineering higher education courses as a major under Master of Industrial Engineering program. It aims at training specialists with the ability to analyze, plan, design, implement and improve the performance of supply chains and respective processes with an emphasis on engineering attitudes.
Graduate skills
Logistics and Supply Chain Engineering graduates will be equipped with tools needed by a senior expert to provide scientific and practical solutions in designing, optimization, implementation and improvement of supply chain management systems.
