The School of Industrial Engineering is pleased to announce that Dr. Makoui, a distinguished faculty member of the School, has translated the latest United Nations report on Artificial Intelligence, in light of the recent focus of discussions at the Academy of Sciences on the subject of AI.

Prepared by 40 scientists from around the world and published in August 2026, the report examines the opportunities and threats associated with Artificial Intelligence and provides a relatively comprehensive perspective on the international community’s views regarding this rapidly evolving technology.
As with many United Nations reports, the report places greater emphasis on concerns and potential threats than on opportunities. Nevertheless, its content may provide valuable insights and be of considerable interest to faculty members and colleagues at the School.
